Most search firms sell you a process. We sell you the outcome: a shortlist of four operators who have already run the quarter you're about to run — the close you need tightened, the audit you need clean, the raise you need to survive.
We work two lanes and nothing else. Executive search for the C-suite and their direct reports. Finance and accounting placement from senior analyst to controller. Depth beats breadth, every time.
We cover every seat in the accounting and finance function — the people who close the books, the managers who own the controls, and the executives who answer for the numbers. We know what each level pays, who is ready for the next step, and how to reach them.

“The best finance candidates are never on the market. They're on a list. We keep the list.”
Our network is built two ways at once. Relationships come first — finance leaders we have known for years, who take our call because we have been useful to them before. Data keeps those relationships current: we track who has closed the books at your scale, who has taken on more responsibility this year, and what the market is paying at every level. Judgment from the first, precision from the second.
Chief financial officers, controllers at the executive level, and the leaders who report to them. Exclusive, milestone-billed, and reported on throughout.
Controllers, managers, and analysts. You pay on placement — but you still get a scorecard, not a stack of resumes.
Coverage when a seat opens unexpectedly, or added capacity for an audit, a system change, or a period of growth.
Every inquiry gets a written response within one business day — including a read on comp, timeline, and whether we're the right firm for it. We turn down more searches than we take.
A partner responds within one business day, with a read on comp, timeline, and whether we're the right firm for the search.
We learn your experience, your strengths, and the environment you do your best work in before your name goes anywhere.
Your materials never leave our office without your permission, in writing, for each role.
You walk into every interview knowing the team, the priorities of the role, and what success looks like in it.
We present your experience in full and represent your interests all the way through offer and start date.
Two minutes now, and you're in front of us the next time a matching mandate opens. Most of our placements were passive when we first met them.
A recruiter reviews every submission personally. Nothing goes to an employer without your say-so first.
A growing company hiring its first full-time accountant needs the same care as a national employer building out a department. We scale the search to the business, not the other way around.
First finance hires, bookkeeping and accounting support, and the help to build a function from the ground up.
Added depth and specialization as volume, complexity, and reporting requirements grow.
Fund accounting, grant compliance, and reporting to boards, funders, and the communities they serve.
Construction, manufacturing, healthcare, professional services, retail, hospitality, technology, and more.

Recruiting works when everyone knows what to expect. These are the standards we hold ourselves to on every engagement.
Before we contact anyone, we learn how your team operates, what the position is accountable for, and who tends to succeed in it. A job description alone is not enough to recruit against.
Every candidate we send has been interviewed and assessed by us, with a written summary of their experience, their strengths, and how they would fit your team. Volume is not a substitute for judgment.
If the compensation is below market, if the search will be difficult, or if we are not the right firm for it, we tell you plainly. Clients and candidates both hear where things actually stand.
A placement is not finished at signature. We stay in contact with both sides through the first months to make sure the fit we promised is the fit that shows up.
Most small and growing companies do not have a recruiting team, and often not a dedicated HR function either. Hiring falls to an owner or a controller who already has a full job, with no time to run a thorough search and no practical way to verify whether a candidate's experience is as deep as the resume suggests.
The cost of getting it wrong is heaviest for exactly these businesses. We started HARSTA to give them the same quality of search and the same rigor of evaluation that large employers take for granted.
On the other side, capable accounting and finance professionals were sending applications into systems that never replied, and being screened on keywords rather than on what they can actually do.
We wanted to connect talent with opportunity directly and make the search simpler: a real conversation, honest feedback, and an advocate who understands both your experience and the way you work.
